چکیده
Background: The placenta plays a crucial role in sustaining pregnancy and supporting healthy foetal growth function. Placental morphology predicts illness patterns adults development. Birth weight is significant predictor of child's survival, development, growth. connection between birth perinatal outcome has long been understood obstetrics. As generally known, low known risk factor for the long-term health. aim study was to find any association weight, gender placental morphology. Methods: An analytical cross sectional conducted anatomy department Anatomy, Bhaarath Medical college Hospital, Chennai. Placentae 200 were collected. Morphological analysis including number cotyledons, site umbilical cord insertion fetal maternal surface area, measured normal babies. Results: showed positive with gestational age. greater values men positively significantly correlated parameters (p 0.001). Regression models employing newborn's sex morphometry used estimate weight; (R2=0.461), area (R2=0.411), volume (R2=0.456) calculated.

Introduction: Fasting is a commitment to God, therefore many pregnant women have a tendency to perform it, but they are concerns about its possible complications which may affect fetal health. Objective: This study aimed to determine the relationship between fasting on pregnant women and their fetal birth weight. Method: This study was conducted on pregnant women referring to maternity hospital...

Introduction: Assessment of fetal weight is a vital factor in antenatal care, not only in the management of labor and delivery but also in identifying fetal weight disorders. Objective: This study compares the accuracy of clinical methods and ultrasonography in Estimating Fetal Weight (EFW) with Actual Birth Weight (ABW) in term pregnant women. Materials and Methods: This diagnostic test eval...
متن کاملPlacental Weight, Birth Weight and Fetal Outcome in Preeclampsia and Normotensive Pregnancies
Any insult to placenta during the developmental stage affects the placenta weight and birth weight which in turn affects the growth of fetus in-utero. Preeclampsia is the most important underlying maternal condition to complicate pregnancy and probably the main factor in the genesis of IUGR and reduced placental weight. 100 placentae, 25 from normotensive pregnancies (control group) and 75 from...
متن کاملAssociation of maternal hypoglycemia with low birth weight and low placental weight: a retrospective investigation.
CONTEXT The effects of maternal hypoglycemia on birth weight, placental weight, and placental ratio are unclear. A reliable indicator for increased risk of low birth weight or associated low placental weight could prove invaluable in caring for newborns who are small for gestational age. OBJECTIVE To retrospectively review 2 years of hospital obstetric records for evidence of an association b...
متن کاملImpact of placental weight and fetal/placental weight ratio Z score on fetal growth and the perinatal outcome
Objective: To classify the infants into 9 blocks based on the deviation of both placental weight (PW) and fetal/placental weight ratio (F/P) Z score and compared the incident rate of perinatal death in each of the small for date (SFD) vs. appropriate for date (AFD) vs. heavy for date (HFD) groups. Methods: The study population consisted of 93,034 placentas/infants from women who vaginally deliv...
